The waiting has just begun

It is a joyous day in our household... finally we have received the funding to start our adoption process, it is so hard to believe it took this long for one simple check. We have been waiting nearly 4 weeks, but learning patience in the early stages of things is more than likely a good thing. We will be sending our application to Texas tomorrow of course next day air, and shortly after that we will receive our checklist for putting our dossier together for Nepal. I am very excited to get the paperwork portion started and the home study scheduled. We know this is going to be a wonderful, crazy, emotional journey and we are going to enjoy every process.

I have decided to take a course in Nepali to learn the language to the best of my ability... Namaste (hello or goodbye), and Dhanyabaad (Thank you). I hope to have my course in hand in a few weeks. I have found a couple books I want to read some on the Nepal culture, and some on adoption. I will have lots of paperwork to keep me busy but I want to make sure that I stay busy hopefully it will help the time pass. I read on a blog today about some families that are in Nepal now to pick up their child I wish them a safe and joyous journey, and dream of the day that we will be there doing just the same.

Shaanti (Peace)
